The first Sona devotional music awards – '08, instituted by the Sona Group, were announced at an awards ceremony here, during the grand finale held at the National Centre of Performing Arts (NCPA). The winners were judged by an eminent panel of music personalities - Anup Jalota, Sudha Malhotra and Udit Narayan. The guests of honour for the evening was father of Anup Jalota, Bhajan exponent Purshottam Das Jalota, Dr Surinder Kapoor's family and friends also attended the occasion, which included his son Sanjay Kapoor, daughter-in-law Karisma Kapoor and her father Randhir Kapoor.
Former cricketer Dilip Vengsarkar unveiled Gitanjali Group created diamonds and rubies special World Cup – 1983 that will be presented to the World Cup heroes at an event scheduled to be held in Dubai by end of this year.
