Mangalore, Oct 11: For collecting first-hand information about the complaints, that the inmates of the sub-jail here are being subjected to unnecessary harassments by the jail authorities, a team of the district unit of the Muslim League, under the leadership of Ahmed Jamal, visited the city sub-jail on Friday October 10.

The team also held discussions with the jail officials, after meeting the prisoners. The officials promised the leaders, that they have been taking all the precautions to ensure safety and well-being of the jail inmates.

    Surprising to see that the jail is holding double standards. While the prisoners are behind bars, how in the world can Mahendra Kumar be in the jail superindents office? Is he not a prisoner? Concerned need to take appropriate action against the jailor for the double standards meted by him.
