Kundapur: Kannada movie 'Kattale Kone' to be released on Aug 10

Kundapur, Aug 2: The much-awaited Kannada movie 'Kattale Kone', in which Sandesh Shetty Ajri, a young story-writer, and journalist of Kundapur origin, is acting as a protagonist, in addition to directing and writing the story of the movie for the first time, will be released on August 10. In fact, Sandesh had written this story eight years ago.

This information was given by Ashwath Acharya, a member of team 'Kattale Kone'.

Speaking in the press meet at Kundapur press club, Ashwath said, "This movie, which has almost a new caste is based on a real story. How the ambition of a boy, who wanted to be a soldier, fails to fulfill his ambition. How the system, playing with his dream, changes him into a psycho is the story of the movie. As the title of the movie says, this is a psychological horror thriller movie. This film contains the lavish life of a family, the dream of a student, picturisation of the school life,  two-faces of journalism, how the system is exploited by vested interests of the society and how the environment which supports such acts is created.

"As much as 85% of the movie is shot in the night. The effort of the new team has given a new look to the move. Many peculiar incidents that took place during the making of the movie caused a kind of fear in the team. The team of 'Kattale Kone' movie has witnessed many strange incidents. However, a positive power, which was with the team and which protected the team from the strange incidents is experienced by the actors of this movie.

Giving the details of the team, Ashwath said, "The role of the lead male actor is donned by journalist and director of the movie Sandesh Shetty Ajri. Henika Rao, Mumbai Kannadiga, who is known in the modelling field has acted as the heroine. P R Amin is the producer of the movie and is ably supported by Srinivas Shivamogga as a co-producer. R K Mangaluru has done the cinematography. Jeet Joseph has co-directed the movie. Melodious music by Arun Raj and meaningful lyrics by Ashok Neelavar and Nagaraj Rao have added glitter to the movie. The main cast includes Vaishak Amin, Ratik Murdeshwar, Ashwath Acharya, Raghu Pandeshwar, Sunil Uppunda, Rohit Ampar, Chandra Vasant, Chithrakala Rajesh, Srinivas Pai, Manjunath Salian and Nagaraj Rao.

"The song 'Onti Kananadi Nee' song, sung by Mehboob Saab, runner-up of SaReGaMaPa reality show is immensely popular on the YouTube and has got 2.2 million views. The budget of the movie is Rs 1.5 crore," Ashwath added.

Chandrashekar, Omguru Basrur, Ratik Murdeshwar and Sunil Uppunda were present during the press conference.
