Mangalore: One killed, 3 Injured as Lightning Strikes

Mangalore, Sep 2: A person was killed and three were injured when lightning struck them at Kallugudde in Noojibalthila near Kadaba on Sunday night.

According to police, the deceased has been identified as Thaniya (35). The injured are Sundari (22), Bhagi (40) and Ravi (19). The incident occurred when they were watching TV. It was learnt that the lightning had struck an electric pole first. Several TV, telephones have been damaged.

Commits suicide

A person committed suicide by hanging atAlanga in Ichlampady.
The deceased has been identified as Hariprasad. He depressed over his mother’s health. A case has been registered.

Killed

A person was killed when a train knocked him down at Baindoor. According to police, the deceased has been identified as as S Krishna Poojary (48). The incident occurred when he was on his way to field. It was said that he was working as Manager of Vyavasaya Seva Sahakari Bank and was not able to hear. A case has been registered.

Falls from bus

A person was killed when he fell from the bus at Abbakka Circle in Ullal.
The deceased has been identified as Sudhir Kotekar. He was hanging in the footboard when the mishap occurred.
