Panaji: First CM Dayanand Bandodkar Paid Rich Tributes on 35th Death Anniversary

Panaji, Aug 12: Rich tributes were paid to the fond memory of first chief minister of the State the late Dayanand B Bandodkar, popularly known as Bhausaheb on the occasion of his 35th death anniversary observed in the State on Tuesday August 12.

Chief minister Digamber Kamat offered floral tributes to the late Bandodkar at the Samadhi at Miramar near here. Others  who paid glowing tributes  to the memory of  Bandodkar  included minister  for revenue Jose Philip  D'Souza , transport minister Sudin Dhavlikar, leader of opposition Manohar Parrikar, Shashikala  Kakodkar, president of MGP Pandurang Raut, Prof  Surendra Sirsat and MGP workers.

Damodar Bhajani Group, Vasco recited bhajans on the occasion.
 
Informally speaking the chief minister said that making the State as   visioned by the late Bhausaheb Bandodkar will be a real tribute to this departed leader of the State.

Thereafter the chief minister Digamber Kamat and the dignitaries present proceeded to the city where they garlanded the statue of the late Bandodkar at Old Secretariat and paid homage.
