Mumbai: Konkani film Sophiya held in aid of orphanage children

Mumbai, Nov 9: St John Konkani Samudai here screened the Konkani film Sophiya at Sangam theater, Andheri east on Sunday November 5, in aid of orphanage children. The show was held under the guidance of St John church chief priest, Fr Clement D' Lima. Fr Cyril D' Souza Bandra, Harry Fernandes, film producer Janet Noronha, actors Prince Jacob and Esther Noronha were present.

Chief organizer of the programme, Claudy Monteiro Modankapu, St John Konkani Samudai vice president Sunita Suares, secretary Mary Fernandes, joint secretary Thomas Pereira, treasurer James D'Sa, executive committee members Rita D'Souza, Sunita A Suares, Veera Monteiro, Prameela D'Almeida, other office bearers and members were present.



Ida Pinto welcomed the gathering. Veera Monteiro, Leena Lasrado, Thelma D'Sa, Hilda Pereira, Hilda Mathias and Alice D'Souza presented flower bouquets to the guests. Vice president Jessy Fernandes compered the programme.
