Mangalore: Ninety Reserved Seats Vacant in 3 Varsity-affiliated Colleges

Mangalore, Jun 17: Mangalore University has said that about 90 seats, including 19 BBM seats, have remained vacant in three of its affiliated colleges.

In a press statement here, the university said that the seats in Bhandarkars Arts and Science College at Kundapur, Government First Grade College at Hiriyadka (both in Udupi district), and Sacred Heart College at Madanthyaru of Belthangady taluk in Dakshina Kannada had not been filled up.

In Bhandarkars College, 23 B.Com seats (of them, 19 for Scheduled Castes), 11 BBM seats (10 for SCs) and 12 BCA seats (9 SCs) were vacant. In the Hiriyadka College, 6 B.A. seats, 8 BBM seats (reserved for SCs) and 6 B.Sc. seats (5 reserved for Scheduled Castes) were vacant. In Sacred Heart College, 18 B.S. Seats (15 for SCs) and 6 B.Com seats (5 for SCs) were vacant, the statement said.

    How about adding some more redundant seats to that list. That way our government and society can go out of the way to say how much they are doing for reserved vote bank.
