Udupi: Rangoli Exhibition at Sri Krishna Math from May 24-26

Udupi, May 20: In memory of B P Bayari a well-known rangoli artist, 'Rangoli Hosa Prayoga' a novel art exhibition will be held at Rajangana of Sri Krishna Math from Saturday May 24 to  Monday May 26.

The exhibition will be inaugurated by Paryaya Puttige Math's Sugunenedra Teertha Swamiji at 10 am on May 24 and will be presided over by Bharatiya Vikas Trust Managing Trust  member K M Udupa.

Artist Bharathi Maravante informed that artist Udupi Ramesh Rao, Alva's Education Foundation chairman Dr M Mohan Alva, Kannada Sahitya Parishat DK district unit president Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, Prof Kanaradi Vadiraj Bhat and Lions Club's Jayakara Shetty will participate.

Udupi district Kannada Sahitya Parishat president U Chandrashekar Holla, art critic Upadhyaya Moodubelle, senior artists K L Bhat and Lakshmi Bai will be the chief guests for the Valedictory function to be held at 4 pm on May 26.

A rangoli competition will be held for the public in the age group of 30 to 45. Names can be enrolled on the spot an hour in advance, and rangolis can be drawn only with powders which they themselves should arrange.
