Mangalore May 5: S V Amin offficial JD(S) candidate for Mangalore North opined that the Congress party has lost the trust of the mass in his constituency and said his main opponent is the BJP candidate. He was replying to the queries raised by the media persons at a press conference here on Monday May 5.

Mocking the Congress Party, he said that the party had issued the ticket to Moidin Bava by considering 'payment category' and not on merit.

'In my constituency backward castes including Billava community and minority communities are upset with the national parties as they have not delivered the promises they had assured,' he said.

Replying to a query regarding top leaders' support for his campaign he said that former chief minister Kumaraswamy and state JD(S) president Mirajuddin Patel are scheduled to campaign in Mangalore North constituency within a few days.
 
Calling his future developmental planning as a comprehensive one he said priority will be given for the complete concreting of the roads, water harvesting, connecting the regional temples with railway infrastructure, basic needs for immigrant employees in the impending mega projects, and hanging bridge between Sultan Battery and Tannir Bavi to promote tourism in the constituency.

Answering his stand on the implementation of proposed SEZ projects he said that the government should not take hasty decision if the proposed projects causes environmental hazards.

Dr Ibrahim, state general secretary of JD(S) was present at the press meet.
