Mangalore: ‘Bonglo’ Konkani Drama Staged at Town Hall

Mangalore, May 5: ‘Bonglo,’ a Konkani drama, written by Nellu Permannur and directed by Alwyn C Veigus was staged at Town Hall on Sunday, May 4 evening.

Well-known Tulu dramatist Navin D Padil was the chief guest of the occasion. Addressing the gathering, he said that, Konkani dramas should be staged on church premises so that it could reach big number of viewers, he advised.

Meanwhile, ‘Wedding Biz’ by Marcel Saldanha (Macha Milar) book was released. Konkani dramatist Dolla Nandigudda, John Monis, editor of ‘Dirvem’ Konkani weekly, Stany Alvares of Maand Sobhaan, and Carmelite priest Fr Alwyn were present on the dais.

Later ‘Bonglo’ was staged in which Nellu Permannur, Alwyn C Veigus, Felix Lasrado, Stephen Mathias, Shawn Rodrigues, David D’Souza, Abraham Pashan, Blaze Monteiro, Leena Crasta, Sapna Saldhana and Dimple Pinto  exhibited their talents through acting.
