Mangaluru: St Agnes PU College conducts alumni meet

Mangaluru, Jul 10: St Agnes PU College alumni meet was held on July 8 at 4.00 pm at the college auditorium.

The first meet was attended by 350 alumni.

The programme commenced by invoking God’s blessings with a prayer hymn. Sr Shamita, principal of St Agnes PU College warmly welcomed the former Agnesians.

Cheryl Mascarenhas, alumna of the 2004 batch, presided over the function. Cheryl Mascarenhas had completed her Masters in Clinical Embryology from KMC. She is currently a freelance embryologist and founder and CEO of Global Surrogacy India.

The Alumni Association logo ‘Agnosphere’ was unveiled by the chief guest. In her presidential address, she expressed her indebtedness to her alma mater for her remarkable achievements. Her message to all the former Agnesians was to never give up their dream and to be brand ambassadors of their alma mater.

A short entertainment programme was put up by the present students as well as the alumni. The programme was compered by Roohi Samad. A special feature of this programme was the performance by Vocal Rush, the all girls band, who attribute their coming together to St Agnes PU College. The alumni were grateful to their alma mater for organising the meet.

The evening came to an end with the vote of thanks proposed by Ann Dehnugar. The mass dance at the conclusion of the programme helped revive happy memories. The alumni then returned home with a feeling of nostalgia.
