Mangaluru: Kannada actor Anant Nag to star in Tulu film 'Golmal'

Mangaluru, May 22: Popular Kannada film actor Anant Nag is likely to act in a Tulu film soon. He will be seen in a special appearance in 'Golmal', a film directed by Ramanad Nayak, Karkal. He will be a police director general in the film.

“I received several offers from the Tulu film industry. But, he did not accept them as he did not like the story. The offer of a role in 'Golmal' came through Jayanth Kaikini. Anant's mother hails from Bantwal and father from Kumta. Therefore, he has great respect for the language of the coast,” said Anant Nag's wife Gayathri Anant Nag.

'Golmal' is a thriller and comedy. Ramanand Nayak has written the story, dialogues and directed the film. The layout of story and production are by Sudhir Shanbhog, Karkal. Photography and music are provided by Sunad Gautham.

Akshay Prabhu Kaduhole and Manjunath Nayak have taken the responsibility of production. Pilibail Yamunakka fame Pruthvi Ambar and Shreya Anchan are playing the lead pair. Navin D Padil, Sunil Nelligudde, Chandrashekar Siddakatte, Sunder Rai Mandara, Umesh Mijar, Prasanna Shetty Manibettu, Chitrali and Ila Vitla will be seen in the film. The song 'Dinala O Ninnane Kanala Dayena' is already released on Youtube.

Most of the films in which Anant Nag has acted as a hero have been successful. He has been seen in many memorable roles in Kannada, Hindi, Marati, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and English films.
