Mangalore: CME on Pathology Inaugurated at FMMC

Mangalore, Mar 13: One day continued medical education (CME) programme was organized by Department of Pathology and Microbiology of Father Muller Medical College in association with Karnataka chapter of the Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists here on Thursday March 13.

CME programme was inaugurated by Fr Patrick Rodrigues, director, Father Muller Charitable Institutions. Dr B Sanjeev Rai, dean, Father Muller Medical College and Fr Denis D’Sa, administrator, Father Muller Medical College shared their outlook on the current public opinion and need for a constant update of knowledge. Dr K P Aravindan, head, department of pathology, Medical College, Calicut was the guest of honour.


Fr Patrick Rodrigues, director, FMCI inaugurates the CME programme. Also seen are (L-R) Dr Ramesh Naik, head, department of pathology, Father Muller Medical College and president, D K district of KCIAPM, Dr K P Aravindan, head, department of pathology, Medical College, Calicut, Dr G K Swethadri and Dr Hilda Fernandes, dept. of pathology, Father Muller Medical College.

Dr Ramesh Naik, head, department of pathology, Father Muller Medical College and president, DK District of the Karnataka Chapter of the Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists introduced the guest speaker. The delegates comprised of faculty members and students from all medical colleges in Dakshina Kannada as well from Manipal Medical College.

On this occasion head of department of pathology Dr Ramesh Naik, DK District of KCISPM, Dr K P Aravindan, head of the department of pathology medical college Calicut, Dr G K Swethadri and Dr Hilda Fernandes were present.
