Kambla is a game where buffeloes used as the partcipants.Even though buffeloes are whipped on race, one should not forget they are fed like children.you can not find any of your rest of the animals treated in that way. The only intention is to prepare them for the race.here the relation ship like parents and children.

Why children are punished on their mistake? Here difference is they cant express. If you want to show mercy,it should be everywhere. Then there will be no cultivation on land, there will not be entertainments like circus,First of all millions of non-vegetarians will lose their food.I think this cruelity is very minor compared to killing for food.Better to bother about what we can do.

Why shoudn't many people write about many things? There are various sets of people...some who really want to make a difference, some who see no point in making a difference and some who belong to the confused lot who only criticize other's efforts! Man, that is what I say too....U enjoy your life...let the animal's enjoy theirs. They don't meddle with our lives, so, why should we? Let life go on smoothly. Live and let live.

I fully agree with Kuki.We say that we are the evolved lot, but this is plain brutality to these dumb animals who can not even protest. What is the difference between the savages of the dark ages and us then?I do not agree in preserving culture which thrives on cruelty to animals.

What ever draws people to go and watch the 'Kambla', event? Is it entertainment? Those animals are mercilessely whipped so that they may run fast and reach the finish...their noses have thick ropes running through them...they are sometimes forced to consume alcohol in order to run fast...they are again whipped if they loose the race...and WE...the superior clan watch all this with smiles on our faces and generous claps to encourage the participants on.

Again, Is this entertainment? Do we need such cruel forms of culture? Why don't we develop the maturity to find alternate forms of entertainment or at least leave animals in peace? Let the humans run instead.
