Mangalore: Theft in Land Links Colony - Jewellery worth Rs 4.5 Lac Stolen

Mangalore, Feb 29: The number of theft cases has been increasing in the past few weeks in and around the city. Thieves are targeting the houses when the family members are either gone on work or outstation. Even daylight thefts have become very common these days despite strict police vigil.

In yet another such incident thieves have stolen huge quantity of gold jewellery worth Rs 4.5 lac from a residential villa located in Land Links housing colony at Konchady near here on Friday February 29. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Thieves have broken open the main door of villa owned by K S Kotian and decamped with gold jewellery on Friday.  Theft took place when K S Kotian and family had gone to visit their relatives on Thursday February 28.  But it came to light only on Friday morning when K S Kotian's wife Shobha Kotian came home.

A case has been filed with the Kavoor police in this regard.
