'Mandd Sobhann' Team Feted for Taking Konkani to Great Heights

Mumbai, Feb 25:
Individuals who were responsible for taking Konkani language into the 'Guinness Book of World Records' were jointly felicitiated in Mumbai, by the Maharastra Sangeet Academy, Maharashtra Konkan Association and Konkani Niranthari, Jeri Meri on Sunday February 24.
 
The felicitation programme was organized at St Jude Church hall Jeri Meri. The 'Mandd Sobhann' team, 'Mandd Sobhann' Gurkar Eric Ozario, president Louis J Pinto, honorary secretary Stany Alvares, Rony Mendonca, Roy Castelino and Fr Ramesh N Bhandodkar who were responsible for taking Konkani to the highest level world-wide were felicitated.

Christian Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCCI) working president Vincent Mathaias, Fuddar Pratishathan president John D’Silva, Jenevive P Vas, industrialists Henry Lobo, Peter D’Souza, Joseph Menezes, Oswald Carderio, Lawrence D’Souza, Pius Vas and singer Victor Concesso were present as chief guests..  

Maharashtra Sangeet Academy working president John Veigas, secretary Antony Almeida and David D’Silva also graced the occasion. Dora Rego, Ashwini D’Souza, and former president Walter D’Souza. Jeri Meri offered bouquets to the guests and welcomed them.
 
Mandd Sobhann troupe was introduced to all by Ancy Paladka, Joker Cascia, treasurer Ron Michael and Cement L Lobo.
