Anil Dave takes charge of Environment Ministry

New Delhi, Jul 6 (IANS): Anil Madhav Dave, a Narmada river conservationist and environmentalist, on Wednesday took charge of the Ministry of Environment Forest and Climate Change.

"I will take one week to understand the departmental work and then set priorities accordingly," Dave said, adding he would carry on the good work of his predecessor Prakash Javadekar, now the HRD Minister.

"Projects initiated by Javadekar will go on," Dave said. Javadekar met Dave at the office. Asked about the river linking project, he said: "Rivers must flow."
