Mangalore, Sep 2: M Veerappa Moily, former chief minister demanded that all Congress party activists should first show loyalty towards citizens, and then retain loyalty towards the party. Moily was addressing the party workers meet of north block Congress and preparatory meet for Mangalore City Corporation (MCC)  polls held on Sunday Sep 2, at Krishna Achar Hall, near Ballalbag, in the city.







 

"Yeomen service and loyalty serves as the building blocks of Congress, non-violence is the weapon of Congress. Transparency against secrecy, secularism against castes and fundamentalism are what define policies and practices of Congress. Tough days are ahead for Congress leaders and party workers.  On the one hand, Mangalore is emerging as a mega city and on the other hand, Mangalore is facing overall development related problems. Hence, the great responsibility of strengthening the party is on the shoulders of the party activists.

Mangalore should become the plank for Congress to realise it's dream of securing place in developed nations across the globe.
 For Deve Gowda, the development of Dakshina Kannada (DK) is not the top priority.  However Congress administration in the DK district can assure citizen friendly governance", he added.

Sadananda Poonja, former Zilla Panchayat president, Sueresh Ballal, president of North Block Congress Committee, Janardhan Poojary, member of Rajya Sabha.  Veerappa Moily, former chief minister, Vijay Kumar Shetty, Mamatha Gatti, president of Dakshina Kannada District Women Congress, Vishwas Kumar Das- president of North Block Youth Congress were present in the meet.
