This is utter negligence of the driver/occupants of the car. As it happens to be, the car involved was a Bolero with a maximum seating capacity of 7.
It is practically unsafe to load passengers to almost double its capacity.
Secondly, while crossing railway tracks one has to give room for unsuccessful crossover so that one can escape in case of any failures/breakdown while the train is still a good distance away. The same rule will apply even or road commuters. Unfortunately many violate these crucial rules.

Mr Jossy Saldanha, Mumbai: In what way Railway Safety was involved there and money also DULIM as per you. Do not comment for the sake of commenting. It is the 1000%...... fault of the of the Bolero Car Driver as he was driving and crossed the unmanned Railway Level Crossing of the railway tracks. The vehicle crossing at unmanned railway track crossing should be done carefully and at their own risk. Do you expect any Express or ordinary Train to stop immediately? You are in Mumbai and you should know better as the Mumbai has Suburban trains slow and fast trains. Jai Hind.
