Mangalore, Aug 16:  A two day management development workshop on ‘Enhancing Organizational Effectiveness’ will be organized on August 23rd and 24 by the Aloysius Institute of Business Administration (AIBA), a unit of St Aloysius College. The participants in this workshop will be mainly executives and managers from the industry and faculty of B-Schools.
 
The workshop is inspired by the profound thoughts found in book entitled ‘Management Challenges for the 21st Century’ by Peter F Drucker, a world-famous management guru. The programme aims at providing usefull insights into certain organizational aspects which will help businessmen to function better in this fiercely competitive atmosphere. 

The lecture sessions will be conducted by Prof Manuel Mendonca, McGill University, Montreal and Giridhar Prabhu, proprietor, Achal Industries, Mangalore. They will be lecturing on themes such as managing oneself in the context of employee selection, employee performance and towards ‘learning organization’.

Prof Mendonca has a vast teaching experience since 1984, in McGill’s Desautels faculty of management and the centre for continuing education. He has also been the resource person for the MDP programme on ethical leadership conducted by AIBA last year.  Giridhar Prabhu on the other hand is the owner of Achal Industries an ISO certified company. He is also ex-president of Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
