Udupi, Aug 12:  An international executive development workshop on ‘Strategic Hospitality Management’ is being organized by Welcomgroup of Graduate School of Hotel Administration, from August 11 to13. This was announced at a press conference here, by the chief administrator of WGSHA, major general B N Kaul.

Ennumerating the areas being covered by the workshop Kaul stated that the said workshop will cover issues relating to management of chain of hotels, managing changes and measuring quality.

He said that the three-day residential workshop, supported by internationally renowned institution such as Cornell Institute of Hospitality Management, is expected to transform the thinking of the participants into leadership through further learning.

Kaul opined that this workshop had been designed exclusively for the leaders, business owners, decision makers, general managers and senior executives.

Stowe Shoemaker will be the course director of the workshop. He is Donald Hubb’s distinguished professor at the University of Houston’s Conrad Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management.
 
Kaul further informed that Shoemaker’s research interests include the ‘Antecedents and consequences of consumer loyalty’, loyalty programmes, strategic pricing and revenue management.

Thiru will be the co-ordinator of the workshop, added Kaul.
