Mumbai, Aug 29: Starring Saif Ali Khan, Katrina and the presently in hiding, Hafiz Saeed, Phantom which was released on the Friday the 28th of August, has minted upwards of Rs 8 crores, with most of the audiences taking the time out to watch the evening and late night shows.

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the film's progress thus far, " #Phantom Fri ₹ 8.46 cr. India biz... Biz picked up in evening/night shows." The movie tells the story of a retired Indian Soldier who is set on going into the heart of the terrorist groups and the killing the militants who were behind the 2008 bombings.

Saibal Chatterjee, in his review of the movie stated that "Kabir Khan is on a roll after Bajrangi Bhaijaan, a film that reveled in celebrating the idea of peace in the region. Phantom goes to other end of the spectrum and harps on an eye-for-an-eye philosophy. The question the film poses is: if the US can do it, why can't India? We cannot because Bollywood does not have either a Daniel Craig or a Tom Cruise to add heft to fanciful actioners. But to Khan's credit, his narrative eschews jingoism and stops short of painting the whole of Pakistan with the same brush."

Given that most have work on a Friday morning it seems only logical that most of the crowd went flocked to the theatres only in the evening or the night to watch the anit-terrorist movie. Having been banned in Pakistan following the complaint filed by Hafiz Saeed the Chief of Jamaat- ud-Dawaa (JuD) saying that the movie spoke negatively about him and his associates.

Hafiz Saeed who is currently residing in Pakistan is the mastermind behind the 26/11 Mumbai that claimed several innocent lives.
