Meet Boniface Prabhu - Asia's No.1 Quad Wheelchair Tennis Player

Bangalore, Jun 13: Boniface Prabhu is an international wheechair tennis player.

He says it was possible because of the support from the main sponsor, Allen Solly, and associate sponsor Royal Challenge in enabling him to represent India in various wheelchair tennis fixtures like 2007 Czech Open, 2007 French Open, 2007 Belgium Open, 2007Dutch (Daimler Chrysler) and 2007 Swiss an others.and also to have got the opportunity to get trained under the able guidance of Noel Raz, FFT coach,  Paris.

There are many wheelchair tennis tournaments on schedule during the next three months. While his training had been delayed for a week because of new visa formalities, now he is schedule to undergo training under Noel Raz, FFT coach in Paris from June 16 to 19, before the tournaments.

The fixtures:
2007 Czech Open

from June 20 to 24 – 07 in Prostejov Czech Republic

2007 BNP Paribas French Open

(Grand Slam) June 26 to July 2007 at Roland Garros in Paris, France.

After the two tournaments mentioned above, he will undergo training again from July 8 to 18 for the tournaments shown below.

2007 Belgian Open

from July 17 to 22, 2007 in Namur, Belgium.

Then again he will be on training from July 23 to 30

2007 Daimler Chrysler Dutch Open

from July 31 to August 5, 2007 in Utrecht, Netherlands.

2007 Swiss Open

from August 7 to 12, 2007 Aug – 07 in Geneva, Switzerland.

His last training session for the 2007 Canadian and the USA tournaments starts from August 9 and will last up to September 1, 2007. Later he will undergo training with Ramesh and his team at KSLTA.

He is grateful to the media community for all the support he has received from them. With a busy schedule on hand, he will be leaving India on June 14.
