Former Pakistan skipper Wasim Akram attacked in Karachi


Aug 5, (Mid-day):  Unidentified gunmen have reportedly opened fire, on Wednesday at former Pakistani skipper's Wasim Akram's car on Karsaaz road at Karachi according to TV reports.

The cricketer has 'narrowly' escaped, according to Pakistan media reports.

Akram has recently taken up a coaching assignment with Pakistan Cricket Board and is training upcoming juniors in Karachi. He is a commentator at Star Sports, bowling coach and mentor of IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders.
