Rome, July 23 (IANS): Italian football club Carpi has announced that Chelsea defender Wallace has joined the newly-promoted Serie A side on loan for the 2015-16 season.
The Brazilian, who can play on both left and right of the field, has not yet made his debut for his parent club Chelsea after being roped in from Fluminense back in 2013.
He had even enjoyed a stint with Inter Milan on loan in the 2013-14 season. The 21-year-old will now have another year in Italy after Carpi on on Wednesday confirmed they had agreed to Chelsea's terms.
On their official club website, a statement read: "Carpi FC is pleased to announce the acquisition of the registration rights of the player Wallace Oliveira dos Santos from Chelsea FC on a temporary basis with pre-emptive rights in favour of the white and red club."
