Gap between television, cinema getting smaller: Varun Toorkey

McLeodganj (Himachal Pradesh), May 18 (IANS): He has just done two serials on the small screen, but actor Varun Toorkey is glad that the lines between television and cinema are blurring.

“The bridge between television and cinema is getting smaller in terms of creativity and production. There is a transition taking place in Indian television, and even the shows are getting bigger,” Varun told IANS here.

Varun, who was also seen in “Uttaran”, is treating his role in “Qubool Hai” as his debut in the league of lead roles.

“I'm specifically treating it as my debut show as a centric character,” said Varun, who essays the role of an army officer in the Zee TV show.

He finds "Qubool Hai" a learning experience.

“Multiple instructions were given to me for the role like I can't be too loud, have to carry myself in a composed way, focus on my behaviour. It is a learning process for me. I'm learning everyday,” the actor, who shot for an interesting twist in the show here, said.
