Napoli coach Benitez suspended, striker Higuain fined

Rome, May 13 (IANS): The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) has suspended Napoli's Spanish coach Rafael Benitez for a match and fined Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain $11,000 following the team's 2-2 draw against Parma in a Seria A match.

The sporting judge for Seria A said on Tuesday the punishment was appropriate for Benitez, who created a major uproar when he was leaving the field after the match on Sunday, reports Efe.

The Argentine striker, on the other hand, was fined for insulting Parma's goalkeeper at the end of the match.

Napoli currently holds the fourth position with 60 points, 20 points behind champions Juventus, while Parma is in last place with only 17 points.
