Rons Bantwal for Daijiworld Media Network – Mumbai (SS)

Mumbai, Mar 19: The four star hotel Tunga Regency was inaugurated by governor S M Krishna on Friday March 16 at Vashi, Navi Mumbai here. It is a venture of Tunga Group of Hotels owned by Sudhakar S Hegde of Udupi origin.

Chief minister Vilas Rao Deshmukh unveiled the plaque. 







State labour minister Ganesh Naik was the chief guest while medical education minister Suresh Shetty and Navi Mumbai mayor Manisha Bhoir were the special chief guests. MLA Gopal Shetty, K Jagannath Shetty, Navi Mumbia former commissioner Madhukar Kokhate, present commissioner Vijay Nakar, SIDCO managing director N Ramarao, water supply committee chief secretary V S Dumal, deputy mayor Bharat Nakate, Vashi corporator Dashrath Baghat and Vijay Nahata were present as guests. 







Tunga Group of Hotels chairman Sudhakar S Hegde said that usually the middle–class families cannot afford to go to star hotels.  But Tunga Regency will be an exception. The hotel will cater to the needs of middle-class families at reasonable rates. 









Basavaraj Gowdar, Sudhakar Hegde and Rohan Hegde felicitated the guests. Director Ranjini S Hegde and Binota Hegde were present. Mangala Kadilkar compered the programme. Director Rohan Hegde welcomed the gathering and proposed the vote of thanks.  A musicale was held as part of the cultural evening.

The eight-storeyed hotel is fully airconditioned, with over a 100 standard, executive, classic, suite and deluxe rooms.
