Mumbai, Apr 14: The sequel of Tanu Weds Manu is all set to hit theatres on the 22nd May, 2015 with R Madhavan caught in the doldrums between two Kanganas. Kangana Ranut who plays a double role in this story spoke of her work saying, "The best part about the film was the double role. This is my first ever double role and normally, when you see double roles, usually one of them is the sweet one and the other one is usually shaitaan. Here one is shaitaan and the other is sava-shaitaan."

Tanu Weds Manu Returns is a sequel to their earlier hit film Tanu weds Manu which spoke volumes on the love story of NRI boy who falls for a Indian girl's infectious zest for life. Kangana's performance in the movie was widely appreciated, almost as much as her work in her movie Queen. If that movie made as much noise with one Kangana Ranut in it the sequel will probably catch a whole lot more attention with Kangana playing a double role in it.

R Madhavan said, "We shot for the first film six years ago, and this story begins from where we left the last story. So, it's a sequel in a true sense. It's a lovely film." Kangana added to his take on the movie calling it a progressive perspective on a marital relationship. She said, "This has become a trend in the films. Tanu has now become a quintessential heroine in Bollywood. 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns' is a progressive story of a husband and wife."

The two actors will be once again playing the same characters that they essayed in the original movie. It remains to be seen if they are able to capture the imagination of the country yet again in the same roles but with a different story to tell.
