Mangalore, Mar 3: It was only a few days ago that a young woman had died in after a private bus knocked her down while travelling in two-wheeler.  In another fatal accident Sunil Noel Pinto (35) was killed in a road accident at Bejai near here on Saturday March 3 afternoon.

Sunil was on his way towards Lalbagh when a tipper coming from opposite direction rammed into his two-wheeler opposite Bejai Church here.

As a result Sunil fell on the road and sustained critical injuries.  Though he was rushed to the hospital, he breathed his last on the way.

Sunil was the son of Juliet Pinto and the late Cyril Pinto.  Their house is situated near Cashew factory at Urwa here.  Sunil had been married to Maria Pinto.  His son Shaun is 10-year-old while Maria is expecting for the second time.

Riding two-wheelers has become a nightmare in the city with the ever-increasing number of fatal accidents.  Though helmet is made compulsory within the city limits, number of fatal accidents has hardly decreased.  Though there are no particular reasons for this, it could be said that most of the time, it is owing to the negligence and reckless riding by most of the young men and women.

Kadri police have registered a case in this regard.
