Cashless at home? Still order food via Ruplee

New Delhi, April 8 (IANS): After luring customers to eat out at Delhi-NCR restaurants even when not having ready cash, credit card or debit card, the cashless dining app Ruplee has now expanded its services to home delivery options.

Bringing convenience at customers' doorsteps, Ruplee's 'Home Deliveries' option enables one to access 'Ruplee on Delivery' feature and pay to the merchant via the app, thus removing the hassle of paying exact change to the delivery boy, said a statement.

Available on iOS and Android, the app allows cashless dining across over 100 destinations in Delhi-NCR -- attempting to change the way users transact, avail discounts, maintain loyalty and monitor payment records.

Payment at restaurants can be made directly via a smartphone in just three clicks.

Some destinations which accept Ruplee's services are Cafe Warehouse, Townhouse Cafe, Boombox, Raas, Flying Saucer, OTB, Fork You, Lazeez Affaire, Chungwa, Hashtag, The Pink Room, Wok in The Clouds, Beer Cafe and Elf.

Natasha Jain, a Stanford University alumnus who is the brain behind the app, describes it as a "technologically flexible vista of doing transactions that brings evolved services to customers".

"Via Ruplee, we aim to launch a plethora of features for both the merchants and consumers over the coming months, which will redefine our eating-out preferences. We are confident that this hassle-free technology will create a never seen before niche in the eating-out paradigm of the country," Jain said.

Ruplee promises user safety and security, and it uses an RBI approved Indian payment gateway that lets you pay securely by entering personal CVV and 3D secure pin each time you transact via the app.

It also keeps a tab of your payment history and a peek into your spending activities, which helps you minimise your unproductive eating-out habits.

It also rewards users who are social. The Ruplee app, via 'Social Check-in', provides automatic discounts as soon as you check in your preferred destination via Social Apps like Facebook.

There's also a 'Loyalty Check-in' where you are auto enrolled for merchant loyalty programs whenever you check-in to your favourite restaurants via the app.
