Manish Paul to drive Lapcare products to youth

New Delhi, March 30 (IANS): Actor-anchor Manish Paul, a gadget buff, has been roped in as the ambassador of Lapcare, a brand of smartphone, tablet and laptop accessories and peripherals.

He is happy to associate with Lapcare, a brand which he believes is "synonymous with innovation, style and functionality".

"I'm a gadget buff and very selective about the products I use. So, when I came across the funky products of Lapcare, I felt that they fit my technology-related needs, style, and personality very well," Manish said in a statement.

Known for anchoring shows like "India's Got Talent", "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa" and other live shows, Manish is known for packing in fun, style, and youth appeal.

The move to rope him in to endorse Lapcare is part of the company’s aggressive strategy to reach out to youth and tap newer markets.

The "Mickey Virus" actor will be promoting Lapcare and Lapcare Yo! series’ entire range of products, including Bluetooth speakers, headsets and powerbanks, among others. A national campaign starring the actor would begin in the first week of April across print, digital and various other mediums.

Sandeep Popli, chief operating officer, Lapcare, says this association with Manish is their "first major endeavour to grow Lapcare as a national brand in the mobile and tablet accessories market".

"We wanted someone who embodied youthful zest, has a unique style and most importantly, a connect with the masses. Manish fit the bill perfectly for us, as someone who is popular across the country, yet adds a dash of much-needed freshness to the campaign.

"It helps us to break the clutter and position Lapcare as a unique, innovative and stylish brand geared towards the youth," Popli said.
