Mumbai, Mar 26: Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra it seems has decided to leave absolutely no stone unturned in making the wedding sequence in his next film, a memorable one. 500 traditional costumes accessorised with authentic pagdis (turbans) and joothis (footwear) are being readied for the wedding scene that is to shot for the wedding of Harshvardhan Kapoor and Saiyami Kher. Sonam Kapoor's brother is the male lead with Saiyami Kher playing his love interest in 'Mirziya'.

Based contextually in Rajasthan, the movie's screenplay has been written by Gulzar and it is a modern take on the legendary love story of Mirza and Sahiba. It is Saiyami Kher's debut movie. The music composers for the movie are Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. Neice to Shaban Azmi and Tanvi Azmi, Saiyami has previously acted in the Telugu film Rey and Mirziyan is her debut into the Hindi movie industry.

The story as per legend is said to be that Mirza and Sahiban knew each other since childhood and they fell in love in their youth. Belonging to different caste, they had to keep their love story a secret. Sahiban's family arranges her wedding with some one else, but Sahiban unwilling to marry anyone other than the man she loves asks mirza to carry her off. Mirza is warned by his sister not to go but he doesn't heed her words. He carries Sahiban off on his horse. Sahiban's brothers follow him to retrieve their sister and when they catch up with the eloping couple all hell breaks loose. The brothers refuse to let Mirza despite the begging of their own sister. They murder him and Sahiban who doesn't wish to live without her love, kills herself.

The movie too, as per the story is said to rife with dance and action sequences.
