Mumbai, Mar 24: 'Mary Kom' actress Priyanka Chopra has openly admitted to hating the fact that she lost the National Award for Best Actress to Kangana Ranaut, but added that she felt Kangana was a true winner in this case, with her movie 'Queen'.

Given that 'Queen' and 'Mary Kom' were the top contenders for the National award comes as no surprise as both were universally appreciated by audiences. Kangana however will be walking away with the award for her astounding performance in 'Queen'. Priyanka Chopra on the other hand, was the gracious loser who said, "I hate losing. But if I had to take a back seat to anyone this year it would be U #KanganaRanaut ! Congratulations!yay Queen!#SmallTownGirls,"

Mary Kom though did win Best Film for providing Wholesome Entertainment. Director Omung Kumar, who debuted with the movie, seemed to be very very happy with the success that the film has had. He thanked Olympic champion Mary Kom for sharing her story as well as letting him make a movie on it. He also thanked Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Priyanka Chopra for all the hard work that they had put in the movie.

The movie screenplay writer Saiwyn Quadras also took to the micro blogging site to express his joy. He wrote, "Yippee to team #MaryKom @priyankachopra @OmungKumar @Vanita_ok @MangteC @OnlerK We won the National Award best film,"
