Leicester coach Pearson charged over verbal abuse at fan

London, Dec 12 (IANS): Leicester manager Nigel Pearson was charged by the Football Association (FA) over alleged verbal abuse at a fan in his side's 1-3 loss to Liverpool.

Video showed Pearson shouted the "F" word at the fan during the English Premier League loss Dec 2, reports Xinhua.

The FA had written to Pearson to ask for his observations about the argument and has now acted.

Pearson refused to apologise for the incident because he was unhappy with the abuse he claims to have taken from the supporter.

Leicester is now bottom of the standings with 10 points from 15 matches.
