Dubai,Nov.17: The Ladies Wing of Dubai Karnataka Sangha organized a cookery competition for its members in Hotel President Dubai.



Usha Achar and Gurupreeth - Chef from Asha's Resturant Dubai - and Averyl Rodrigues (Editor, Recipe column on www.daijiworld.com ) were the judges.

Padal Feni   -  Shobha Hegde
Modaka        - Swati Murthy
 
Vegetarian:
 
Vegetable Lollypop – Srimathi Havaldar,
Fried Rice- Anupama Kulkarni
Pineapple Curry- Jyothi Harish
 
Non-Veg:
 
1)      Mutton Biriani – Waheeda Razak
2)      Chicken Sukka   - Shyamla Poojary
3)      Chicken Sukka, Mutton Green Masala and Fried Rice – Violet Pereira
 
Fried Item:
 
1)      Paneer Bhajia –Kavita  Korwar
2)      Paneer Soya   - Sneha Poojary
3)      Palak Kabab  - Bharti Wadekar
 
The Secretary Ladies wing Nalini Somayaji organized the event and welcome the audience.




 
There were many games and entertainment while the judges were ‘tasting’ the delicacies.
 
Karnataka dishes are world known for its variety and specialties.



It may be recalled that the Ladies wing of the Sangha has published much appreciated and popular compilation of winning recipes named ‘Karnataka dishes’ edited by the former ladies wing secretary Shoukat Anwar.
 
 
The Vice President of Karnataka Sangha Dubai Zeenat Shamshuddin arranged for various gift for participants and members of Sangha.
