Muscat, Nov 16: As the winter season spreading a smooth and enjoyable weather around the Batinah Coast of the Sultanate of Oman, the Mangalorean Catholic Center of the Parish, MCCP (Sts. Peter & Paul Church – Ruwi) has planned to organize an interesting and enjoyable cricket tournament for its members and their families. This year’s Annual Cricket Tournament will be held on Friday, 17th November 2006 and Friday, 1st December 2006 from 8.30 am onwards at the Al Turki Grounds – Ghala.

 The major sponsors of the event are Premier Logistics LLC - Sultanate of Oman and Truckoman LLC - Sultanate of Oman.   Truckoman are the experts in Rig Moves, Cargo Haulage, Freight Forwarding and Vehicle/Equipment rentals in the Middle East.  Oman Telecommunications Company – Omantel are the main sponsors for whole year’s events and programs.

As per Suraj Rebello, the main coordinator of MCCP Sports and Finance Committees, -“ In fact, Cricket Tournament is one of the major events in MCCP’s calendar and all of us are eagerly looking forward to participate with a great interest and enthusiasm. This year, we will have different type of tournament altogether so that all the members can participate, play and enjoy.”

Jerald Mascarenhas, the Sports Event Coordinator further adds, –“ we have already made thorough arrangements for this year’s tournament so that each and every one can enjoy a great cricket. Further, we have an excellent support from our sponsors - Premier Logistics LLC, Truckoman LLC and Oman Telecommunications Company – Omantel. We are truly grateful for the encouragement extended by them and their officials.”

As per the information released, MCCP Annual Cricket tournament 2006 will be held on 17.11.2006 for gents and ladies only and on 01.12.2006 for gents, ladies and children .

Registration will begin at  8.30 am for gents below 40 years, 11.00 am for gents above 40 years and Boys above 8th Standard and 1.00 pm for ladies & girls above 8th standard.  Children below 7th standard will have to play only on 01.12.2006 and their registration will commence at 1.00 pm.
