Nigeria out of Africa Cup


Nairobi, Nov 20 (IANS): Defending champion Nigeria was held to a 2-2 draw by already qualified South Africa to miss out on the 2005 Africa Cup of Nations Wednesday.

Host Equatorial Guinea automatically made it to the Jan 17-Feb 8 tournament, reported Xinhua.

Qualifiers: Algeria, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cape Verde Islands, Congo Brazzaville, Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Cote d'Ivoire, Mali, Senegal, South Africa, Tunisia, and Zambia.
