Qatar promises safe World Cup in 2022


Berlin, Nov 19 (IANS): Qatar will deliver a safe World Cup football finals in 2022, an organiser said in an interview published Wednesday.

"We are taking security very seriously for everyone at the World Cup. We have no doubts that security in 2022 will be impeccable," Nasser al-Khater, managing director of the World Cup organising committee said, reports Xinhua.

Al-Khater also pledged that Qatar will "stage a spectacular tournament that will exceed all expectations".
