Advocaat steps down as Serbia coach

Belgrade, Nov 16 (IANS): Dick Advocaat resigned as Serbia head coach, a day after 1-3 defeat at home to Denmark in Euro 2016 qualifying round.

The 67-year-old Dutchman took up the post in July, reports Xinhua.

"I regret that our cooperation comes to an end in this way," he said in a statement Saturday.

With just one point, Serbia are currently at the bottom of Euro 2016 qualifying Group I.
