New Delhi, Oct 28 (IANS): President Pranab Mukherjee Tuesday congratulated tennis player Sania Mirza on winning the doubles title at the WTA Finals in Singapore.

"I am extremely delighted and proud that you have won the doubles title at the WTA Finals in Singapore," Mukherjee said in a message.

"Your achievement is an inspiration for the youth of our country. The whole country joins you and your family in celebrating this impressive achievement. I wish you continued success in all your future endeavours."

The India-Zimbabwe tennis pair of Sania Mirza and Cara Black drubbed defending champions in the women's doubles summit clash to clinch the prestigious season-ending WTA Finals title Sunday.
