Mumbai, Oct 5: The 21st Annual General Body meeting of St Mary's Catholic Association (Shirva) Mumbai was held on Sunday September 24.

The meeting began with prayer by Henry Tauro.   Later the association president Vincent Castelino welcomed the gathering.  He stressed on unity among members.  He also welcomed the new members to the association and asked to strive to become good role models for the Catholic community.

Association secretary Brian Nazareth presented the audit report for the year 2005-06 which was cleared by the members without any changes.

The new office bearers of the association too were elected on the same occasion. Members of the committee too were elected on the same occasion. The names of the new office bearers are as follows.

President               Vincent Castelino
Vice-president        Donald D’ Silva
Hon Secretary         Ashok D’ Souza
Joint Secretary        Dominic D’ Souza
Treasurer                Anil Menezes

Many prominent issues were discussed during the meeting. It was unanimously decided to give donation to some charitable Institutions and donate towards building repair work of St Lourdes Association of Kanajar, Fort.  A special mention was made about Henry Tauro’s selfless service to the association since many years.
