Rons Bantwal for Daijiworld News Network - Mumbai

Mumbai, Sep 25: The Goregaon Karnataka Sangha here held the 49th Navratri celebrations on Sunday September 24 evening, at the Education Society hall of I B Patel School at Goregaon West here. 

Manohar M Kori, president, Karnataka Sangha, Mumbai, presided over the programme. A S Navada Yakshagana Dattanidhi award winner Nonayya Poojary was honored on the occasion.

Vishwanath U Mada, president, Jayakrishna Parisara Premi Samiti, was the guest of honour.

Talent awards were presented to children of the members present and to students belonging to local municipal Kannada schools.

Surendra S Salian, Sangha president, welcomed the gathering. Members of the Sangha's ladies and youth wing, displayed a cultural programme of dance, songs and a drama 'Rathada Sarathi'.
