Bantwal: Sole breadwinner's sudden death devastates family

Daijiworld Media Network – Bantwal (SP)

Bantwal, Sep 15: Abdul Razak, resident of Gargal House in Thenka Belloor village, post Thenka Belloor, Bantwal taluk, was working as a coolie in a plantation located at Koppala Panalipady Moodayikody in Thenka Belloor-Ammunje village. He was the sole breadwinner of his family comprising wife and five children. The family was devastated when Abdul Razak died on August 13 this year due to brain fever.

This unexpected quirk of fate has left Razak's bereaved family members, wife Safiya, and children Muhammed Aslam who studies in second year BBM, Sarah Shakira, a first year BA degree student, Safiq, a tenth standard student, Sahir, who studies in second standard, and Anaas, who is a first standard student, dumbfounded and directionless.

The entire family depended on the income Razak earned, and the family members have nowhere to turn for survival. Badagabelloor panchayat has certified that this family lives below poverty line.

The family, which lives in a small house built on a five-cent site, has no income now. There is a question mark on the education and future of the children besides how they would manage their daily needs including food. Their house is in shambles and needs urgent repairs.

The entire family now pins its hopes on the kindness and generosity of philanthropists. Safiya has requested willing donors on behalf of all the members of her family to come to their rescue at this time of need and help the family to come out of the desperate situation it finds itself in, and recover in course of time, by extending monetary help and praying for the family.

Details of bank account to which remittances can be made are given below:

SB account number: 117501011000938
Sarah Shakira
Vijaya Bank, Polali, via B C Road,
Bantwal taluk, DK district – PIN – 574284

It is very upsetting when such tragedies strike humble God fearing families such as that of Abdul Razak. I have known his family for three generations! The boy’s grandfather was a tall, extremely calm and peace loving man who was so strong that he would unload an entire truck load of goods on his own. I used to admire him, the late Mr. Ahmade Biary whom I used to meet as a child in the 1950s with a beedi in his mouth and the picture still looms large before me. I have enquired of the present situation of this family through my brother who lives in our Gargal House, Bellore. The boy had gone to work and even worked till noon and returned with fever at noon never to see the world by the end of the day – brain fever. What a catastrophe that should befall on this innocent family! Yes, of course, I am in touch with my brother at Bellore and will do my best through him. It is heartening that many are coming forward to do what they could for them.

I personally know this family for many years. Razak often used to work in my house and farm. He was honest, dedicated and trustworthy person. My wife and I visited the devastated family and given our contribution to them. I request others to contribute generously to this noble cause.

I appreciate the effort of daijiworld to bring the smile on devastated peoples face. But when I was reading the comments below, it shows that almost all said sweet words and it is a kind of contribution (prayer) for this cause. Though, it has lots of appreciation and agrees on these comments, I failed to understand where are these disagrees come from? Is that by default?

Lord said to Moses, “I will rain down bread from Heaven for you".

Daijiworld team hats off. This family will be sheltered by submissive daiji readers including me in the name of God the Almighty. Nonetheless, whichever creed they belong to but they are human beings.

Dear God leniently let departed Razak's apprehensive beloved family be blessed with a financial windfall in any form of help not for greed but towards their daily bread and also be out of danger from any financial debt they do face at their agonized time of living life and let them be blessed with good luck and wealth and health and not only that I pray that the most generous people who help this family in any form be it in cash or kind also be showered enormously with your countless Heavenly blessings, this I humbly ask you in the name of your Heavenly Son mighty Lord Jesus Christ Amen.
