For the first time, actress Sushmita Sen has put her painting under the hammer. And it is all for a good cause.
Not many people know that besides acting, Sush also has a talent for painting. However, she paints not to sell, but for her personal satisfaction. But the gorgeous actress has now made an exception for a charitable cause.
Sushmita was recently in Dubai for a 3-hr telethon and an auction dinner to raise funds for former Pakistani cricketer Imran Khan’s cancer hospital.
Sush got an overwhelming response to her three-hour telecom (for two days). And her painting, titled Ibaadat, was auctioned for a decent amount of Rs 25 lakhs.
All in all, about Rs 8 crore were raised in two days.
This amount will be used for Imran Khan’s Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital, which treats 70 percent of its patients for free.
Sush is also likely to go to Lahore to inaugurate another Shaukat Khanum hospital.
