Abu Dhabi – 19 Sept. : Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha felicitated Vinay Kumar Sorake – former member of Lok Sabha and ex MLA from Mangalore and visiting dignatories from Mangalore on Monday  18th September at NMC Banquet Hall .



Sorake on a private visit to UAE was welcomed by Sarvotham Shetty the veteran community leader and social worker and President of Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha.


Dr. Chandra Kumari Shetty wife of Dr. B. R Shetty – CEO NMC Group of Companies presided over the function.



Vinay Kumar Sorake was accompanied by Naveenchandra D Suvarna., President of Akila Bharat Billawa Union, Smt Sumalatha N Suvarna., President Billawa Mahila Sangha,. Loknath – Treasurer of Akila Bharat Billawa Union and K.T Suvarna – Office bearer of Billava Yuva Vedike, Ullal.


Sorake and Suvarna in their brief address, applauded the achievements of Gulf Kannadigas, which was remarkable and matter of pride for all the Kannadigas.

Sarvotham Shetty and Sudhir Shetty of UAE Exchange gave brief background of Sorake and Suvarna and their selfless service to the community back home.

The function was attended by a cross section of Abu Dhabi’s Karnataka community.

The visitng guests were in the UAE on the invitation of BILLAVA BALAGA, Dubai for their Dandiya Raas programme held on 15th September, 06 at Al Nasr Leisurland, Dubai.  Sudhakar Thumbe, Daya Kirodian the founders of Billava Balaga and Mr.Suchit Kumar Dubai were instrumental in arranging their visit.
