Ebola toll in DRC rises to 32


Kinshasa, Sep 6 (IANS): The toll from an Ebola virus disease outbreak has increased to 32 in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) as one more person has died of the deadly virus, Xinhua cited Health Minister Felix Kabange as saying Saturday.

Earlier this week, the DRC government said the toll from the Ebola outbreak in Djera, a remote region in the country's northwestern province of Equateur, had risen from 13 to 31.

Meanwhile, the World Health Organisation said on Friday that 2,097 people have died as of Sep 5 in the Ebola outbreak in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.
