Bangalore, Sep 13: The Gandhinagar office of H.D.Gangaraj, the President of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce and a leading distributor of the state was raided on Tuesday evening by the Income Tax officials. The film industry sources also said that the residence of actor Sudeep was also raided.

Gangaraj said that the income tax officials came to his office in the evening and saw a cash of Rs. 6000 and scanned a few documents. He said that he gave clarifications to some of the questions by the income tax officials. Gangaraj also said that he had told the officials that he was paying taxes regularly and he was always available to provide any clarifications sought by the Income Tax Department.

Sources close to actor Sudeep however said that the Income Tax officials had sought some clarifications from the actor.

According to the sources this week Income Tax department will start raiding the film industry personalities.
