Jessica Alba 'too independent' to stay at home

Los Angeles, Aug 31 (IANS): Actress Jessica Alba says she is too independent to be a stay-at-home mother.

The 33-year-old, who has children Honor, six, and two-year-old Haven, with husband Cash Warren, says she still likes to do movies because she wants to set an example for her children to show them they can go out and work to pay their own way in life, reports contactmusic.com.

"I think it's different for everyone. Some mums really don't want to work and that's fine,” she said.

"For me, I wouldn't know what that is like because that's a part of who I am. I have aspirations. I want to be with my kids so they can see that in their life they can be anything they want and they can do their own thing and pay their own way.

"The independence that you gain from working is pretty awesome. My kids might be different when they grow up, but that's up to them,” she added.
