Mumbai, Sep 7: An anonymous call informing about a bomb placed at the Goregon railway station situated on the western suburbs turned out to be hoax.

Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) officials rushed to the station around 1110 hours, within minutes after receiving the call.

Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF) and RPF Dog squads also conducted search and combing operations at all the platforms from 1120 hours to 1320 hours, police sources said. But, no explosives were found.

However, train services were not affected during the search and combing operations.
